About The E-index: Data Collection

2. The Data Collection Phase
The Data Collection phase of an E-Index project involves all aspects of collecting and analyzing data from the E-Index Assessment. The purpose of the E-Index Assessment is to collect information about ICT from a broad sample of people in the community. Detailed tasks and steps for conducting data collection are included based on implementation methods reviewed in the Preparation phase. Guidelines for data collection and analysis provide direction for completing this phase.

Core Products
COMMUNITY RESEARCHER TRAINING
Research in your community will be conducted primarily by a hired local resident. This person(s) will be trained in basic research techniques and in specific practices to implement the E-Index. Upon completion of their training, this person(s) will be certified E-Index community researchers.
KNOWLEDGE PLANNING ROADMAP
The Knowledge Planning Roadmap is the alignment of the common goals of the leadership and community with the assets identified by the E-Index. This Roadmap provides specific actionable items and recommendations that will help communities to meet their strategic goals through Information and Communication Technology.
